Rickshaw Travel TeamRickshaw Travel is an organisation made up of travellers for travellers. It is born from the idea that there have been insufficient flexible travel options for the independent traveller for far too long. We sell travel experiences in the style that we ourselves enjoy the best: independently discovering a new country and its particular way of life. Every country has its own specialised internet site, with a wide range of options and activities. |
Nadia GabbSupervisorSince I was young I knew that all I wanted to do was travel, nothing inspired me more than pictures and stories from distant places. After finishing my degree I headed straight overseas to London, which I used as my base for exploring Europe for the next two years. From the UK, my partner and I plus two friends headed to South America, travelling independently down the west coast from Ecuador to Chile, an adventure which would undoubtedly be the highlight of all my travels. Moving next to my partners’ home town of Queenstown, NZ, I started working in a travel agency and my career in the industry began. |

Kimberley RoeslerSenior Travel SpecialistMy first taste of travel was back in 1998, when I set off to Indonesia as part of a study trip. I began studying the language and culture of this incredibly diverse country and returned there three times. My interest in Indonesia further expanded to the rest of South East Asia and I have since visited Malaysia, Thailand, Singapore and Vietnam with a trip to Cambodia coming up soon. South East Asia is such a rich region full of organised chaos, friendly locals, incredible scenery and pungent aromas. Although the countries are located so close to each other, they still remain unique and this is why I will continue to travel through this region. |
Tanya HynesTravel SpecialistI have always had a passion for travel ever since I can remember and was fortunate enough to start exploring the world at a very young age and have been traveling ever since. Over the past few years I have witnessed some amazing sights that have just taken my breath away. I have been able to explore the ancient pyramids of Egypt and witnessing a new found grave in the valley of the Kings. Then onto Europe with a gondola ride through the quite cannels of Venice, drinking beer & eating with locals in Austria and watching the famous Spanish riding school of Vienna. I have had a white Christmas and New years in time square, experienced school life in California on a study trip and of course living it up in Las Vegas. However from all the countries I have visited my most inspiring and favorite destinations include Nepal where I completed the Everest base camp trek and saw some of the tallest mountains in the world and my other favorite destinations include Kenya/Tanzania where I climb Mt Kilimanjaro and was able to witness lions, leopards, Giraffes, elephants and more in their natural habitat. |

Bianca LudbrookTravel SpecialistMy love for Asia grew during my school trip to China in 2004. I absolutely loved being half way across the world and experiencing such a diverse culture. Although I was only there for a short time, it was enough to get me excited and encouraged me to study the tourism industry after high school. When travelling overseas it is easy to become somewhat obsessed with the freedom and confidence gained from your experiences. The beautiful sights that you will see, authentic cuisines you will taste and the amazing cultures that you will meet while travelling will stay with you for a life time. Travelling keeps you open-minded, stress free and gives you an interest to learn more about a country and its people. I have only just begun my travelling adventures and can’t wait to visit the many places on my list that I have yet to see. |
Rachel TurnbullTravel SpecialistBeing from England I was lucky to have Europe at my front door; from a young age I would venture around Europe and North Africa for family holidays every year. As soon as I was old enough travel by myself, my first destination was North America. I loved travelling around the USA - exploring the Grand Canyon, hiking the ‘Half Dome’ at Yosemite National Park, shopping in New York! My travels inspired me to go on to university where I got my Honors Degree in Tourism Management. But my love for travel and the outdoors kept me away from home, taking me to Banff, Canada where I lived for 6 months learning to snowboard, and then travelling on to South America exploring Peru and Ecuador.Having moved to Australia a year ago with my partner, I am now inspired to travel Asia and explore a whole new part of the world. For me travel represents a freedom; it is a passion to uncover different cultures, try new foods and have the opportunity to see things that you couldn't even imagine. |
