We feel it is really important to get to know the real destination you’re visiting and also give you the opportunity of helping to benefit the local communities. During our Royal Nights in Rajasthan trip you’ll stay in a village in Rajasthan where you can interact with the local community and learn about the art, culture and heritage of Rajasthan. This is one of the best places to witness traditional village life – an unforgettable experience which will be a highlight of any visit to India.
Where you lay your head is just as much part of the experience of travelling in India as what you’ll see during the day. That’s why we opt for small-scale accommodation full of local character, from traditional havelis to former homes of the British Raj, find out more about our accommodation with character.
Our Local India Project
We select local projects for each destination, and give you the option to make a small donation to these projects when you book your trip. In India we’re proud to support Odanandi. They offer safe accommodation and education to adults and children in need as well as helping to bring human traffickers to justice. They help to rehabilitate those affected and give them new opportunities so that they can overcome their ordeals.
Our Local Partners
We work with two local partners in India who are just as passionate about seeing the real India as we are. They work closely with our India Product Manager to discover new and enriching experiences that benefit the local population. We also use local Indian guides and drivers throughout our trips, putting money straight into the pockets of the people who need it. This also means that you’ll benefit from their local knowledge; best place for a masala dosa anyone?
