On arrival, you’ll be met and transferred by private vehicle to your hotel in central Delhi, close to the spice markets of Chandi Chowk and the modern bars and emporiums of Connaught Place. The hotel is ideally located to explore the sites of the capital, such as the Red Fort, the India gate war memorial arch and the Jama Masjid, the largest mosque in India.
Delhi to Samode
This morning you’ll be transferred to the village of Samode. On approach you’ll see the baroque walls of the glamorous palace before you. The palace is a fine example of Rajput-Mughal architecture and was built by an ancestor of the Singh family. Along with an inspiring setting and décor the palace offers a swimming pool, sauna and Ayurvedic centre, a sublime restaurant and an intimate courtyard bar.
Samode to Jaipur
After breakfast in the palace you’ll be transferred the one hour drive to Jaipur. Here, you’ll stay in a heritage haveli with swimming pool with classic pillars, refined murals in the many galleries, and cool serenity in the inner courtyards. In the afternoon you’ll go on a guided tour of the city, visiting the City Palace, the Observatory, the fairy-tale Palace of the Winds (Hawa Mahal) and the imposing Amber Fort. The centre of Jaipur is a lively jumble of colours, camel carts, beggars, rickshaws, temples, forts and palaces.
After breakfast this trip comes to an end and you will be more acclimatised to India and ready to continue on to your next adventure.
