Arrive on Palm Island
From Nha Trang you’ll travel by minibus to the pier (around two hours) before hopping aboard a speedboat for the 45 minute crossing to the island. There are around 30 bungalows on the island, each set amongst lush vegetation for privacy. Your bungalow is simple, made from bamboo, brick and palm wood with thatched roofs. All bungalows have their own private bathroom and a fan to keep you cool.
You’ll wake up to the sound of birds chirping, the wind blowing through the palm trees and sometimes a fishing boat or two heading out to pick up their catch. Your days are free to do as you like – hire a catamaran or kayak, or catch the boat to go snorkelling. Otherwise you can chill in your hammock and sway the day away.
Palm Island to Nha Trang
The owners of this tiny eco-resort are heavily involved with nature and its preservation. They’ll be more than happy to tell you where the mangroves, swamps and animals can be found in Van Phong Bay.
At the end of your stay, you’ll be brought back to Nha Trang by boat and then minibus. You’ll be dropped off at your hotel or taken straight to the airport or railway station.
