Hanoi - Halong Bay
– Travel time from Hanoi to Halong Bay: Four hours
With an early morning start, you’ll travel as part of a small-group to the coastal town of Halong. Your traditional junk boat will be waiting for you at the harbour. Once on board you’ll set sail with lunch served shortly afterwards. You’ll sail past a variety of limestone islands; some of them completely overgrown with jungle-forest, some inhabited and others with secluded sandy beaches. According to folklore, the limestone islands were created by a family of dragons that descended from the heavens to protect the people in this area from invaders from the north.
Halong Bay - Hanoi
While in Halong Bay, you’ll visit one of the largest caves in the area and climb up to a lookout with panoramic views across this unique landscape. You may get the opportunity to go for a paddle in a Kayak, and explore nearby islands. You’ll have lunch on board before returning to the pier where your transfer will be waiting to take you back to Hanoi.
If you feel one night isn’t enough, you can do a two night junk excursion just let your travel specialist know your preference.
