Step 1 - Pick and choose your favourite trips

This is the first exciting step on your Rickshaw journey; building your holiday! So, where do you begin? As you’re browsing through our range of authentic travel experiences, simply pick and choose the bite-sized trips that catch your eye and add them to your ‘Travel Plan’.
If you’re in need of a few ideas before you get started, why not check out our inspiration pages where you’ll find suggestions on our top picks to match your holiday wishes; whether it’s an active adventure, a wildlife quest or something a little more laid back- it’s completely up to you. If you don’t fancy building a trip from scratch, you can choose one of our ready-made itineraries instead.

Top tip: While building your holiday, on each of our bite-sized trips, you’ll find suggestions on ‘where to go next’ near the bottom of the page.

Step 2 - Request a Quote

Once you’ve added your chosen trips or itinerary to your Travel Plan, you can then ‘Request a Quote’. Our Travel Specialists will then get in touch with you to chat with you further about your travel plans. Using their in-depth knowledge of their countries and drawing upon their own personal travel experiences, they’ll talk through your itinerary ideas, recommending the most logical routes and giving tips on the best places to visit.
They’ll link your trips together using a combination of local accommodation and transport options. They can even organise your international flights, meaning that your whole trip is booked and managed under one roof.

Step 3 - Tweak & Book Your Trip

After having a chat, your Travel Specialist will create and send through your personalised Travel Plan. Now you’ll be able to get a real feel for what your holiday will look like day-by-day, including information about the standard of accommodation that will compliment your trip. Want to make a change? Perhaps add in a cooking class, or an extra day at the beach? No problem. Your Travel Specialist will work with you to tweak your trip until you’re happy. Once your final Travel Plan has been built, we’ll ask for a small deposit for your land arrangements and full payment for any international flights booked. Then, we’ll send your booking to our local partners to get it all confirmed. Now you can sit back and relax while we arrange everything for you. Once it is all confirmed we will send you an email including full accommodation and final payment details.

Step 4 - Get Ready to Go!

Once we’ve received your final payment (usually two months before your departure date) we’ll email you all of your travel documents, including all accommodation details plus information about our local partners in the destination. This will also include an emergency contact number and the office addresses. Our local partners will be available 24/7 to lend a hand with anything that you need during your trip. Being located within the destination itself, they’re in a really good position to help you out if any issues arise during your trip.
